In another nightmare that is all too real for the two schizophrenic computer geeks known as dried foxglove (dry eyes + diigitae), noise and not-quite-ambient atmospheres are produced and channeled to express various inhumanities, both as part of the lives of those suffering from mental illness, and those suffering from no particular illness but from their own ignorance. Posthuman and transhumanist themes are obvious from the cover design, and just as the Internet has transformed our lives, perhaps mental illness can be a vehicle for the transformation of minds? Who has hacked their brains anyway? Deconstructed retrofuturist themes corrupted like a bad sector on a floppy are a part of the equation, but this album ultimately trudges forward through the abyss, looking back at one's damaged humanity and sanity unregretfully as the future looms ahead, beckoning with all the mercy of a being that consumes all in its quest for the total destruction of the objective cosmos, the subjective cosmos already having been hacked to pieces and reconfigured in various jarring patterns.
